Help Stop the Biting

Hey all of you mom's out there...I need some help. Braeden has four teeth now. With teeth comes the biting while he is eating. I am going to be honest...it kills and I have wanted to stop nursing because of it. If any of you have tips or tricks that I can use...PLEASE let me know what they are. I really don't want to give up nursing. Thanks for all of your help.

When he bites you, said more loudly than you would talk "ouch!" Then pull him off. Then just kind of try again. That worked for me. Good luck!

Well, I don't really have any advice for you on this problem yet lol...but you really are moving home for that long? Will Ben be with you? We can make visits then wahoo! :)

Hope all is well with you. Miss you and also, sorry about the biting :(

hey! here is a really good trick i learned. When he bites try to put you pinky finger in his mouth through the side. Not straight in, but through the side of the mouth, this way he lets go fast and you don't have to pull away and make it more painful. Every times he does that do as I suggested and tell him "no". If he is not finished, then don't nurse him until a little while later (maybe 5-10 minutes). As a small punishment. Hopefully that helps.
