Trip to Missouri

After we dropped Josh and Chloe off last Wednesday, Ben, Braeden, and I drive to Missouri. We left at 5 and got there at about 10 in the morning. It was such a long drive. Braeden was really good though. We were surprised. After we got there was just sat and talked to family and ate some breakfast. We had homemade bread and jam with some eggs. They were so good. After that we went down to the lake. My in-laws live on this private lake called Lake Wawanouwka. It is beautiful. So we went down to the lake and went fishing and we just enjoyed being outside. After we got tired of that we all had a long nap. Like 2 or 3 hours I think. I felt so nice. We have a good bed to sleep in and Braed was tired to so he slept as long as we did. After we woke up we talked some more and made dinner. After dinner we roasted some smores and then went to bed. The next day we waited until my sister in law Emily and her 3 kids came. They got there about 1. After that we went to the lake again. This time we set up a lake trampoline. No one really jumped off of it because the weather was kind of cold. A little while later My mother in laws cousin who lives on the lake also came with his boat. We all jumped on and went around the lake for a while. All of the kids had a turn driving the boat and they loved that. After that we all showered and made dinner. It was some steak. It was really good. It was hard to eat though because of my throat problem. The rest of the night we just chilled and talked. The next day was Saturday. That morning we all waited for Blake. We just sat around and talked, ate some more, and waited for my mother and father in law to come with brother in law Blake. He is in the Army so he is stationed in South Carolina. He flew in and after he got there we went to the lake again. We spent a long time there because the water was warm and the weather was perfect. Ben and I took turns trying to dunk each other. Ben won! We cleaned up everything and went back to make some more dinner. We had some pork chops with pie that a friend made us. Apple and chocolate pie were too much to handle. It was delicious. Am I making anyone hungry, because I am getting that way? :) Saturday night we just talked with everyone and got read to leave. We left at 1 am, and drove FOREVER!!!! It was such a long drive. We got home at 6 pm the next day. It was a fun trip and good to just get away from the city and play in the water and sun, but boy was it good to get back home. Now I am starting school and Ben is back in school, so we are just jam packed. Hopefully we stay sane.
