Graduation and the Move Back Home

Where has this month gone. Ben officially was done with school on December 4th. His parents came on December 11th to come to his pinning and to spend some time with us. It was a great time. On Friday afternoon Ben, Braeden, Ben's mom and dad and I went to the pinning ceremony. Ben, Braeden, and went up to the stand and Braed and I got to pin Ben with is RN pin. He is officially done and he will be an RN as soon as he passes his NCLEX in about a month. He will be studying hard over the next little while to get that done. On Monday December 14th we left for Utah. We had our two cars and a UHAUL loaded as much as we could. We left in the morning and headed for the pass through the Rockies. We knew it would be bad weather, but not as bad as it was. When we got to the top we hit bad snow storms, and no plowed roads with fog and cold cold weather all the way. After Vail the roads were clear and we picked up some speed. Our average speed was 40 the whole way. Towards the end of the journey Ben's truck had had it and he it just wouldn't accelerate up the hills. So we had to go 35 a lot of the way. It was a long drive. 11 hours to be exact. It was so long, but by some miracle of heaven Braeden didn't cry once and he was such a good baby. That was the best thing that could have happened. We arrived in Glenwood about 9:30 that night really tired. We slept at my parents house and then that next morning we hit it so hard. My mom helped me move boxes in, unpack them, and organize things. She was such a great help and a blessing. Thank you mom for all of your hard work. I really appreciate it. We are now here in our cute little home and loving it. We have our Christmas lights up and my mom and sisters had put up a tree for us. When we got here there were a lot of old things and the basement needed a lot of work. Two days after we got moved in I tried to do a load of laundry and we flooded the basement. So the next morning the plumber had to come and fix it all. We finally have a great washer and dryer. That is such a great thing. The last few days we have just been super power getting Christmas things done and getting everything done. After that holidays hopefully we will get to slow down a little and relax. I may add things to this as we go, but that will be for me to remember. :) Hope things are well with all of you!
