Nashville Wedding Trip

Ben's youngest and last brother to be married was married in the Nashville Temple to his beautiful bride on Feb. 20 2010. Ben, Braeden and I flew out to Nashville the Thursday before the wedding. It was a long day and Braeden hated the flying. It was a terrible day for him and we were all tired by the end of the day. That night we flew in and Ben's mom came to pick us up. Then we went straight to the motel and checked in. That night was wrestle Braeden time to get him in a crib and go to sleep. He didn't crash until almost midnight. It was not fun. The next morning we got up and went to see Ben's boyhood home and the surrounding areas. Kentucky was beautiful and it was fun to see where Ben's stories took place. We went down a little path to see a creek and Ben took me into a cave. It was scary and also fun to see. I also got to review a little Geography that I learned this semester. My life hasn't been wasted as much as I thought. I knew quite a bit. After that Blake, Rachel, Drue, Ben, Braeden, and my niece Julie and I drove around the sites of Kentucky. We ate at Wendy's and just had a great day. After that we went to the motel to have a nap and relax a little. Later that day we had the family lunch for the wedding party. It was absolutely delicious. After the lunch, my sister-in-laws and I went to Target to go shopping. Some of them are not into shopping so Edith and I went back later. It was fun to talk with her and see her. We have not really talked the last year and a half. She is a sweetheart and her kids are just growing so big. The next day was the busiest one. Saturday morning we all got up and drove to the temple. The sealing was beautiful. I was so happy for them and it reminded me of out wedding day. After the temple stuff was over we took pictures. Braeden was not cooperating at all. He just wanted to get into the fountain and play in the trees and dirt(he got his father's genes). Finally that struggle was over and we went to have a rest and get ready for the reception. The reception was simple and beautiful and we had a great time talking with friends and family. After the reception was over we went to the hotel. Everyone was so tired, and so we ordered pizza and watched the Olympics in our room with Edith's family, Drue and Julie, and Brent and Kathy. That was such a fun relaxing night. The next morning we went to church, then Emily's house and then it was on to the airport. Another terrible day with Braeden and him not being on his schedule. He had a great time during our layover in Denver riding the flat escalators...over and over again. When we arrived at the SLC airport it was 10 pm. We still had a 3 hour drive. Ben stopped off of Center Street in Provo to get a 10 minute shut eye and we awoke to the sounds of a police officer tapping on the car window. He told us that the house next to us has a lot of drugs and we should probably get on our way. So we drove home sleepily. We make it home at 2am and went right to bed. Ahh....

It was a long and fun trip. It was good to see family and share with Blake and Katy on this wonderful day!!!
