Cardiologist Report

Friday I went to the cardiologist with Ben to see if he could figure out why I am dizzy all the time.  The day before we were supposed to go, my good friend Brooklyn called to see how our summer was going.  I told her what has been going on and she offered to take Braeden for as long as we needed when we had to go to Boise to see the doctor.  I was so relieved and so happy and SUPER grateful that she would offer to take Braeden.  So Braeden got to play with his little friend while we were less stressed being at the doctor.

Friday we got to the doctor and they put a monitor on me for a second to see my heart waves. Then the doctor came in and told me that he didn't think there was anything that he could do.  He could do an echo cardio gram (ultrasound) on my heart to see if there was anything wrong.  While I was getting my heart looked at...I suspected that the guy who was going the ultrasound was LDS.  So I hinted about the curtain looking like a church curtain.  He kinda looked over at us for a second and then kept doing what he was doing.  It looked like he had garments on under his scrubs.  So we said something, and he said, " ahh...I sensed some Mormonism in you guys." I asked him if he was Mormon and he said, "my name is Ammon, doesn't that explain it all?"  I laughed so hard.  He was from up in the Ogden area.  His wife is due 6 days after me.  It was fun to meet another member and talk to him.  He was such a great guy.

After the exam, we were taken to a waiting room until the doctor came in.  The doc said that my heart was fine and that it could be something electrical in my heart, but he highly doubts it.  He thought what we though and that this should resolve itself with the pregnancy ending.  If it doesn't end when the baby is born, then I will wear a heart monitor for a month to see if anything is wrong.

It was a relief to know that my heart was good, and that there was nothing wrong with it.  I was bummed out that they couldn't give me a fix or anything, but really...what can they do when you are pregnant...not a thing. So we will wait 6 weeks and see if this resolves itself when the baby comes.

After the doctor, we were so hungry.  Ben and I LOVE the strawberry cheesequake blizzards at Dairy Queen, so we decided to have a little date.  We got some food and delicious french fries and our blizzard.  It was so good to sit with Ben and talk adult talk.  It was a rushed date, but we will take what we get when it comes to being alone on a date.  I am so thankful for Brooklyn and that she was willing to watch my sweet, but oh so mischievous almost 3 year old. It was so nice of her to do that for us...I cannot express how grateful I am for that.

I hope the next few weeks go by pretty quickly and really my hope would be to get this baby here 3 weeks early to be full term and completely healthy so that my health isn't in jeopardy anymore. I get so nervous when I feel like I am going to pass out, because I completely lose all thought and that is scary to me.  I guess we will just take it easy until this baby comes...HE will come when he comes.
