Funniest Thing of my Life

Yesterday I came into work and I was in really bad pain. I thought that I could make it through the day and go home to rest after work. Well at about 9:20 I couldn't make it anymore. I was in so much pain. I thought about the baby and if it was ok, and what was going on. Well I left work and called my mom to see if it was normal. She said that it was, but if it gets worse to go to the doctor. So I went home and rested for a minute until Ben came home. Then I had to go to the hospital to do some lab work. I was sitting there waiting and they called my name to get screened. They asked me when the first day of my last period was. I told them 1-30-08. Just like I had told everyone else...the doctor, the nurses, and all of the baby websites. Then all of a sudden it hit me thatmy last period was 12-26-07. As I sat there comtemplating what just went through my mind, I froze. They called my name to get my blood drawn and then I booked it out of there to call Ben. I told him was my thoughts were and realized that our baby is due October 1, 2008. A month earlier than we had thought. I don't know why we didn't catch on to it sooner, but we didn't. I guess we were so caught up in the excitement that we heard the nurse ask, "When was the date of your expected period?" So we just gave the date 1-30-08. I am sure glad that we caught it now instead of having me work until the very end of my pregnancy and having it a month earlier than we planned. That would have been rough. So we are going to have a Fall baby! I am getting so excited and I think that Ben was shocked out of his mind the whole day yesterday. If is a lot different from 4 months and 3 weeks to 3 months and a week and a half. It comes a lot sooner. I knew that the pregnancy had been dragging on and that the baby had been kicking sooner than it should have. So in summary, we are having the baby a month and a week sooner than we had planned. :) We find out tomorrow what we are having and we could have found out a month ago. That is the only thing that makes this not so funny. We laughed all day and thought that we were complete morons for not catching this much sooner, but it made the pregnancy go by much faster. I am at 26 weeks yesterday and can't wait.
