Baby Wish List and More

My friend did a fun little wish list for her baby that is due in August...so I decided that I should put one up for me.  There are a lot of things that I am going to do different this time and I am an expert at finding deals and Amazon.com is really my best friend for things so I am going to use that to the fullest extent.

Diaper Bag

I had a really good diaper bag when I had Braeden.  It was a gift from a dear friend and I used it a lot.  SO...that means it is really worn down and rugged looking.  This time I would like to find something stylish and that will last a while. Diaper bags can get pretty pricey so I may have to make my own.  I love Burlington Coat Factory, so I might have to check there and see what I can find.

Baby Lotion

I love baby lotion.  My mom loves baby magic and always uses it when she bathes the babies, but I think I like Johnson's better.  It just reminds me more of a baby.  Either way, the baby smells delicious and I love to cuddle up to their little necks and smell them.

Diapers

I LOVE amazon.com.  Right now I get Braeden;s diapers for 30% off because I subscribe to have the diapers delivered every two months to my door and because I am a mom. For the new baby I am going to get THESE cuddly diapers.  With Braeden, we were pretty poor so we used the cheapest diapers we could find.  Before we left the hospital with Braed, I told Ben to find all the pampers swaddlers he could find in our room and put them in my bag.  I feel in love with the soft little diapers and I cannot wait to get them for the baby.

Wipes

I have learned with Braeden what wipes are good and what ones are not so good.  Again with the amazon delivery and the amazon mom discount we get wipes delivered to our door when we need them and it is always free shipping. I have come to love two kinds of Huggies wipes.  I don't like huggies diapers, but I do love their wipes.

Muslin Blankets

I have seen these in a lot of photography, and I think they look so soft and cuddly.  I found some on amazon that are just adorable and I am sure that I will get a few of them because they are so cheap.

Car Seat

I wanted to get a fresh, new, fun car seat...but they are expensive and I already have one so I am going to brave the project of recovering the baby car seat.  Here is a tutorial on a blog that I found.  It looks like there are a lot of steps, but it should be fun.  Here are the some of the fabrics that I bought yesterday.

AND this one...

I cannot wait to get these fabrics and start on the car seat.

Boppy Pillow

I had an older one of these my sister in law gave me that I really didnt use with Braeden because we lived in a tiny apartment and there was just no room for it.  I found a tutorial on a blog (here) so this time...I am going to recover it and make it adorable. And the brown fabric above is a flannel that I am going to use on one side of the boppy pillow.

Crib Sheet

I was going to buy a crib sheet, but the brown flannel fabric above was just too cute and too cheap not to make my own crib sheet.  Yes, I have a lot of projects that I am doing, but hopefully it makes the time go by a little faster.  Here is the tutorial for the crib sheet.  It looks super easy and I cannot wait to see the final outcome.

Breast Pump

I would like a new breast pump this go around.  I had a cheaper one that I got free from WIC, and it worked awesome, but I would like a fresh, new one.  I like to pump sometimes because I produce enough milk for an army of babies...so we freeze it and use it when I need Ben to take the baby or I just want to use a bottle.  It worked great with Braeden for those times when Braeden was done eating and I was not done producing.

This pump is a cheaper one, and my dream would be to have an electric one. We will have to see.

That is all I can think of right now, and I guess it is kind of a lot.  Babies need a lot and now days we as mothers can buy things to make our lives a little better and more convenient with new babies.  We just got a new recliner a few months ago with our taxes because I made Ben buy me one when we found out we were having another baby.  I didn't have a chair with Braeden and I refused to do that again with all the late nights and all the breastfeeding time.  We do need to get another crib mattress, little white onesies, and some other things like that...but that will come later I guess.  I may update this list and my little mind thinks of all the things I want and need to do. We painted Braeden's room a few weeks again so that was something I could check off the list.

When we were going to have the last baby that we miscarried, I bought a breastfeeding cover, washable nursing pads and sling that came with breastfeeding time keeper bands.  I am so glad that I got this and I am sure I will use all of these things. Go to THIS link to check out the deals...the nursing covers are free just pay the shipping and handling.
This is the nursing cover...ya super cute.

I hope this helps some of you moms find some things that I LOVE and want to love.  Let me know if you love any of these things, and if there are other deals or things that I may not know if, but NEED to know :)

Let me know how the car seat turns out! I saw that blog post too and got all excited...until I saw how many steps there were and remembered what a sewing novice I am! Good luck! I would love to make ours over sometime too!

I have that exact nursing cover and I LOVE it. It's so much nicer than a blanket for me, because it gives air to my babies so they don't sweat.
Something else I have now that I didn't with my first is a little plastic organizer that just fits in my diaper bag. I keep my essentials - lotion, desitin, nail clippers, infant tylenol, teething meds - in it. It has been a lifesaver to always have with me :) You're awesome and I hope you're feeling well1

Cute stuff Steph! I too love pampers swaddlers for tiny babies (they are so soft...) and I really LOVE those muslin blankets! You will have to let me know where you found them - the prints on them are adorable! I can't wait for your new little babe :)
