We had our Christmas early because of the moving and the packing and going to my families house for Christmas. On Saturday night we opened presents. We only had a $25 dollar budget so it was really hard to shop for Ben. He wanted fishing stuff so when we move to Denver we can go fishing. So I got him a tackle box, some fishing bait, and some Old Spice cologne, and body wash. He got me a new coat and an Interior Design software CD that I can create anything on. It is so cool. I wanted to be an Interior Designer, so that was a really great gift to get. Braeden on the other hand, didn't so much have a budget. He raked it in. He got some clothes and some Twelve Timbers wood items for his room when we get to Denver, and he got some books and wipes. It was a different kind of Christmas, but it was so much fun! We are packing this week to move, and then next week we will be at my parents until the morning after Christmas, and then it is back here for a few days then off to Denver we go. It will be okay, but I just am having a really hard time right now. I think that the waiting is killing me more than anything. On Christmas for us...we sat down and thought of what the people in our families really need. At the point in their lives what are they going through and what would make them feel loved? It doesn't have to be bought or even made. We came up with all of the gifts for our family members on both sides and they are going to be meaningful gifts. I would love them. It helped me feel better about Christmas and the gift of giving. These gifts will be treasured for years.
Since Saturday Braeden has not been himself. He has been crying and not eating like he should and yesterday I discovered that he has a little bit of pinkeye. So he just needs his mom and he likes to eat out of his bottle. Poor little guy. It breaks my heart that he doesn't feel good and there is nothing I can do.
Also on Friday and Saturday my mom and dad came up for their annual weekend. It was so much fun. We shopped all day on Friday and went out to eat, then on Saturday they came over and watched Braeden while I showered. That is one thing that has changed a lot. I cannot just go shower whenever I want, so that was really nice of them. Then for a few hours we went and shopped. My parents started to get hungry so they came to my house and cooked steak, sauteed mushrooms and potatoes while I got ready to go on a date with Ben. That was the day it snowed a lot and was so cold. I have not missed the cold weather. I will get plenty of what I have missed out on...in Denver.
